Kindred‑Ear Personalised Learning Support:
One-to-one support for home-educated and school-anxious young people
Not every child finds it easy to learn in a traditional classroom. Anxiety, health difficulties, additional needs or previous experiences of school can all affect their ability to engage with education.
I provide calm, personalised teaching shaped around the learner’s current ability, interests and individual needs.
Sessions are available online across the UK and in learners’ homes in Walthamstow E17.
Who I support
This service may be suitable for:

Learners experiencing school anxiety or Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA)
Young people unable to attend school because of physical or mental health needs

Learners who feel overwhelmed in larger educational settings
Young people who need a calm, flexible approach
You do not need to know exactly what support your child requires before contacting me. We can discuss their needs during a free introductory call.

Developing relevant English, reading or maths skills
Helping the learner become more independent
Parents and carers receive appropriate updates about progress and areas of focus.
A calm and individual approach
I am a qualified teacher and registered counsellor with more than 13 years’ experience in education.
I have worked across mainstream primary education, SEN settings, an all-through SEMH school and a secondary alternative provision. My most recent education role involved supporting students who were unable to attend school because of physical or mental health needs. I have also worked within Elective Home Education.
My counselling training influences how I listen, build trust and respond when a learner feels anxious or overwhelmed. There is no pressure for a young person to share personal feelings. We focus on helping them access learning at a manageable pace.

Getting started
The first step is a free 20-minute call with the parent or carer. We can discuss:
Your child’s current educational situation
Their strengths and areas of difficulty
The subjects in which they need support
Relevant health or additional needs
Whether online or home-based sessions may suit them
If the service appears suitable, we will arrange one initial learning session at the usual fee. Afterwards, both you and I can decide whether a regular weekly appointment feels right.
If you would like to explore whether personalised learning support might suit your child, you are welcome to book a free 20-minute introductory call.
