In-Person Counselling in Walthamstow

Sometimes being in the same room can make it feel easier to talk. I offer calm, confidential face-to-face counselling from a private therapy room on Hoe Street, close to Walthamstow Central.

Sessions are available for adults, children and young people and are arranged in advance, subject to room availability. You don’t need to know exactly what to say or have everything figured out before you come.

A calm, private space where you can be yourself

You may be coping on the outside while feeling very different inside. Perhaps you have lost someone important, your life has changed unexpectedly, or anxiety and difficult feelings are becoming harder to manage.

Counselling gives you space to slow down and explore what is happening without judgement or pressure. I will listen, help you make sense of what you are experiencing and work alongside you at a pace that feels comfortable.

You may be looking for support with:

  • Grief and bereavement

  • Anxiety or feeling overwhelmed

  • Loss, change or a difficult life transition

  • Low mood or low self-esteem

  • Relationship or family difficulties

  • Identity, confidence or belonging

  • School-related anxiety

  • A child or young person’s emotional wellbeing

In-person counselling for adults, children and young people

Adults

I offer face-to-face counselling for adults experiencing grief, anxiety, emotional overwhelm or changes that have left life feeling unfamiliar. You will have a calm space to talk openly, without having to protect other people from how you really feel.

Children and young people

Children and young people do not always have the words to explain what is happening inside. Sessions are adapted to their age, personality and individual needs. Alongside talking, they can choose to use drawing, writing and other creative activities to help them explore their feelings.

There is no pressure to use creative activities. Sessions are shaped around what helps each person feel most comfortable.

A qualified counsellor who understands children and adults

I’m Kelly, a qualified therapeutic counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

My approach is warm, calm and down-to-earth. I won’t tell you how you should feel or expect you to talk about anything before you are ready. We will work together in a way that respects your experiences, needs and pace.

Alongside my counselling qualifications, I am also a qualified teacher with experience supporting children and young people with emotional, educational and mental health needs. This helps me adapt sessions for younger clients who may find it easier to communicate through drawing, writing or other creative activities as well as conversation.
